Grrranola

Kashi had a “free sample size” cereal box that was offered from their website, and it’s been patiently sitting in my closet until now.

I love Kashi Go Lean Honey Almond Crunch cereal so I was excited to try their newest flave-ah. πŸ˜€

Topped onto my yogurt with some crushed flax.

So much c-r-u-n-c-h.

Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of berry-flavored cereals or granolas, but this one makes for a fun yogurt or oat topper.Β  I still like my Natures Path Pumpkin Flax Granola the best. πŸ˜‰

Question: Granola—love it or hate it?Β  Favorite type/brand?Β  Love, love, love it!Β  Two of my favorites are Natures Path Pumpkin Flax Granola and Vanilla Almond Galaxy Granola.Β  Y-u-m! πŸ˜€

  1. I absolutely love that new berry one.. I like the fact that it’s crispy, not break your teeth crunchy.. Been doing that mixed with vanilla yogurt for breakfast for a couple of weeks now.. Good stuff!

  2. I loooove granola! It’s pretty much at a staple at my house as I use it on my morning bowl of oats & sometimes a snack of yogurt!
My favorite brands right now are Bear Naked and I just recently tried (and liked!) the Yogi brand which is granola flakes.. Basically a cross between cereal & granola. But I have yet to try (or find!) many brands of granola that I’ve heard of on the blogosphere.

  3. I love granola, but it is kind of a tricky food for me. I can easily eat a whole bag of the stuff and not realise it until, well, it is much too late.

I am a MASSIVE fan of the Galaxy Not too sweet vanilla, though! It is just sweet enough that it isn’t a ‘trigger-food’ for me, but still is just sweet enough with a healthy (albeit low) dose of fat/fiber. I’d be happy to further look in to the kashi though- I love Kashi-anything!

  4. If I could pick one dessert/snack for the rest of my life, it would be granola! The Cascadian Farm’s honey granola is really good!

  5. i’m not a big granola fan because I often find them too sweet, but this one is good, I got the small sample too and like it! πŸ˜‰

  6. I just got that same box of kashi in the mail but haven’t used it. I think yogurt might be the perfect use. Also, I’m a huge granola fan…I’ve never met a cereal I didn’t like.

  7. I love granola but prefer to make my own. Most have a ton of calories, fat and unnecessary ingredients, so I like to control what goes into it. Plus, it’s a lot of fun to play around with it and change things up! I usually make it every week or so, to keep it fresh. I love eating it with greek yogurt and fruit for breakfast and my husband usually eats it as a snack.

  8. I love it. I have to have it in my oatmeal or I won’t eat oatmeal. I love the crunchy texture. Otherwise, oatmeal tastes like….blech.

My favorite is Dylans’ Chia raspberry walnut. It’s ridiculously good.
