So Full

I am so full.

Full of memories.

Full of happiness.

Full of chia seeds and oats.

  • 1 c. milk + 3/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. oatbran
  • 1/4 c. wheat bran (stirred in during last two minutes of cooking time)
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • 1/2 c. frozen blueberries, dethawed and strained (I drink the juice…can’t let that go to waste! )
  • cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger (slightly obsessed)
  • toppings: 1-1/2 tsp chia seeds, 2 T. Natures Path Pumpkin Flax granola, last of the cashew butter

Full of coffee with soy.

(Is it strange that I don’t drink coffee while I’m eating?  I’d much rather wait until after I’ve “finished” breakfast and then move on to hugging my mug.

I know you’re probably all tired of hearing me count down the days to my last exam, but it’s actually—really, honest-to-goodness—here.  By 2:30, I’ll be walking off the campus—my last time as an undergraduate.  How’s a girl to react?

Question: What are you “filled to the brim with” today?

**Stay tuned for a special “calorie post” in response to a reader’s question.  And feel free to add to this question (or any other q’ for that matter) if you’d like. 😀 **

  1. I am still working on the right combo to fill up with oats (or any hot cereal) – they always leave me hungrier than before. No matter how much I add! That bowl looks beautiful and enticing, though. Also, I wait to drink my coffee after breakfast, too. It’s such a treat to hold that warm mug during the morning hours. 🙂

I’m full of anticipation for summer!

  2. Hehe, I do the same thing with my morning coffee! Congratulations on finishing your undergrad–how exciting!

  3. I am full of oats and chia seeds too. And coffee.

But for real, I’m filled to the brim with cleaning and odds and ends to do today before starting my internship tomorrow.

  4. I love to enjoy my coffee too. Which is why I usually have it before I eat. Then eat about 30 minutes after waking. Then have another mug after 😉

  5. oh i love this! i wish i was full of something good right now. instead oi am full of state testing ;(

  6. I had a meeting at my college, which meant I took a half-day from work. It all added up to sleeping in until 7am! Considering most days, even weekends, I am up at 5 or 6, this was super exciting!

  7. I’m full of thoughts.
My washer is full of dishes.
The forecast for the week is full of rain 😦

  8. I’m full to the brim with surprises. Nate came home with a watermelon (my favorite fruit EVER) and the two Abbott and Costello movies showed up. Oh, yeah, and I planned a surprise for you. 🙂 But no hints on that one!!

  9. I’m filled with excitement! I head home for summer vacay….tomorrow! 🙂

Congrats on being DONE! And oooh i’m with you–I always enjoy my coffee or tea after a meal, never during! I’m also excited to finally try the oh-so-famous chia seeds out! Your breakfast looks diiiivine.

  10. Coffee is the first thing that I turn to when sitting down for breakfast- and the last. I love it so much so I make sure to begin and end my breakfast with it.

The summer is finally here for you!

  11. Now those are definitely some good things to be stuffed chock full with.
I used to finish my meal with a coffee but I now I sip all along in between breakfast bites. Any way you drink it though, coffee is always phenom.

THREE CHEERS for being done school!

  12. I’m the same with coffee! Love it, but not while I’m eating…Before or afterwards is the best:)
