I love car trips.
Vacation has commensed. 
Although my family is not normal. We don’t relax like normal people do while on vacation. Instead, I’m rushing around this morning, taking bites of a whole wheat bagel with honey roasted peanut butter & banana, with thoughts of Mt. Moosilauke looming over. Making gorp. Making coffee. Packing lunch (which will probably involve another bagel…HA!)
I love it.
Mmmm…hiking fuel. Gotta love it.
Alrighty, off to help pack up before the day gets too warm!

Right now, I think my ideal vacation is a trip to Europe. Especially Italy 😉

our family is just like yours…when people come to visit us they always say that they arent used to the hustle and bustle of our family haha…i like it better that way, dont you? anyway- question for you- what kind of camera do you use for your photos? im looking to upgrade and your photos always look so nice! have a great vaca!

Last year I bought a Canon Rebel XS and absolutely LOVE it! I waited for the price to go down a bit on Amazon (it jumps all over the place on a day by day basis!) and am so glad I bought it.
Although it’s definitely a bit heavier. Usually when I’m hiking or going out somewhere, I like to take my dad’s snap ‘n’ shoot which is a Kodak EasyShare. 😀
I like vacations that are pretty busy, like yours…we aren’t ones to just sit around during vacation. Lately, however, I’ve been thinking about how fun it would be to go to the beach and just relax – read every day, lounge around, etc.

My family always had busy vacations too – however now that I’m an adult and in charge of my own vacations – I like to RELAXXX. I love being on the beach, reading a good book, and taking a dip in the ocean when it gets really hot. 🙂

Visiting my Dad in Moab, Utah……..a little town in southeast Utah about an hour away from the Colorado border that is full of tons of mtn. biking and hiking trails, plus the Colorado River runs through it making the most amazing canons. I can just sit outside taking in the sites, fresh air and natural energy all around. LOVE IT, MISS IT SO!
