There’s no such thing as deprivation when it comes to healthy eating and living. My daily desserts include mostly fresh fruit or dark chocolate. But I also love to bake. Cookies, pies, bars, cakes. And when I do bake, I almost always want the “real deal.” The only time when I’ll use whole wheat flour or less butter/oil is when this actually enhances or doesn’t take away from the original recipe (like in the whole wheat banana bread—super moist!) And I’m not afraid to use butter. :D
Because, really, when I want a dessert, I don’t want a 100-calorie oreo pack. I want the real deal. And you can quote me on that.
